Bring in ‘da Poop

Benefiber, I love you: you make me poop!

You and all the fruits and vegetables in the world making their way through my bowels.

A call to the doctor’s office brought up the possibility of suppositories if the pipes did not get moving as they should, so as you can imagine, this girl is out to avoid that at all costs.   Keep bringing ‘da funk!

Told you. It’s the suckiest part of pregnancy I have experienced so far! I’d prefer vomiting, personally :) Although I think it is the body’s way of sucking every last ounce of nutrients out of the foods we eat. At least that’s what I told myself to make it not seem so bad. I found it generally manageable once I got used to it. Luckily it only lasts a few weeks–probably as long as the morning sickness. That’s how it was for me anyway. It also helps to remember that old wive’s tale about the shittier you feel the healthier the pregnancy (paraphrased, of course). I hope it passes soon (ba da dum).

Salty, it’s been BAD. Painful BAD. But today things are much better, so I’m hopeful. And yes, lol, I’m complaining a lot because it seems I’m being hit with EVERYTHING, but I’m also HAPPY to have the symptoms because it makes me feel like everything is all right, just like you say!

    Hello Ladies,
I too am in my first trimester and feeling so nausiated that it has been difficult for me to just eat. Luckily, I am not having the bowl problem, but I am concerned that I’m not eating enough because I OFTEN feel sooo sick.
    When does it end…?

Oh Laney, I hope you feel better soon! I’m not sure when it ends…I was even surprised that it began as early as it did!

Looooooove Benefiber! I started using it long before pregnancy, just to up my fiber intake each day, but it definitely turns out to have benefits now. (I can tell which days I use it and which I don’t. Because, you know.)

Out of curiosity, how do you take yours? I’ve never tried it in cold beverages, for some reason. Mine always goes into hot milk with instant coffee or Carnation Instant Breakfast (now that I’m *mostly* off caffeine) stirred in.

I hadn’t even thought of putting it in hot drinks Tara, but I will now. I’ve been putting it in glasses of apple juice, hoping to get that extra kick from the AJ, too.

Oh yay, Mrs. Petunia is preggo! Another WB fan here, but I hadn’t checked this blog in almost two weeks – so happy for you! (And newly hopeful for my best friend, who is having a super hard time getting pregnant herself.) Sorry to hear about the less than fun side effects, but beaming in my Chicago office at the news of your pregnancy.
