About Me

Mom Quixote is a pregnant daydreaming city college professor trying to conceive again, hoping it won’t be just tilting at windmills.

I just came across your blog and I had to write to you because I, too, had miscarriages, plus fertility problems, and I know how incredibly hard it can be, plus the monthly emotional rollercoaster. So good luck to you, and I feel for you.
I had a happy ending; my children are 14 and 12 and still sometimes I look at them and can’t believe they’re here.

Hi, I clicked over here from Weddingbee. First of all, I absolutely love your blog – the design, the structure, the letters you write to your husband. It really is beautiful.

I also wanted to try to offer some comfort in what I’m sure is one of the most difficult times of your life. My aunt suffered numerous miscarriages before having her daughter, and besides the obvious hurt of losing a child, she always struggled with the fact that no one else seemed to understand her grief. I managed to find this article (http://www.christianitytoday.com/tcw/2007/janfeb/9.42.html) that my aunt said really described what she was going through. I hope it helps in some way.

I found your blog through wordpress.com, and it moved me beyond belief. My husband and I are not ready for a baby yet (we still forget to feed our dogs from time to time…) but the sadness and, even more so, hope in your blog is universal. I wish you and your husband only good things at just the right time…
